How does one Chart a portfolio in MM? I am referring to the total portfolio balance ,not the individual stocks within the portfolio.
I can chart a portfolio in TradeMaster via "portfolio.... > chart" but cannot get a chart of the portfolio within MM. I have tried putting an entry in the TM Portpolio Profile window under "general ... > market master ... > daily data file" but cannot locate the entry within MM. I want to chart the profile in MM in order to utilise base100 capability.

thanks...peter

Hi Peter,

The following procedure will allow you to plot your TradeMaster Equity Curve as a share code in Market Master:

DATA MANAGER
1.  Open Data Manager via the START MENU -> PROGRAMS -> PRIMECHARTS -> DATA MANAGER
2.  Click CATALOG -> QUICK ADD
3.  Pick a share that is similar via the drop down menu.  I suggest picking the ALL ORDS as it is usually the one you will be comparing your portfolio against.
4.  Give your new share a descriptive name and a code and then click ADD and OK to the pop up message.
5.  Click on close in the Quick Add Dialogue box.
6.  In the share drop down box, select your share you just added, then click the SHR button (2 over from the drop down box)
7.  Once open, close the share and close data manager.

SPA TradeMaster
1.  Within the portfolio you are wanting to chart, click PORTFOLIO -> PROFILE
2.  In the Market Master section, click the browse button next to the Daily Data File input.
3.  Browse to c:/mm2/SX/ASE/INDEX15/  and select (yourshare).mmd
4.  Click OK out of the profile and click PORTFOLIO -> CHART
5.  Within the chart screen, click the Create Market Master Data Files (the 11th button from the left) and click ok when prompted.

MARKET MASTER
1.  If Market Master is already open, close then re-open
2.  Click GRAPH -> OPEN A CHART to bring up the securities manager
3.  Your newly created portfolio will now appear upon searching for it.

You can now bring up a chart of it, and apply any analysis you are wanting to.

Any further questions don't hesitate to ask.

Karl

Thanks for the info.   I doubt that I would have figured it out without your help. I was not doing step 5 under 'SPA Trademaster.(ie. " Create MM Data Files"

Its working fine now
