Re- Forum Notifications are Changing
« on: 08/07/2015, 08:03:20 PM »
Hi David,

Thanks for the heads-up Announcement. One question tho;
Within Profile > Forum Profile > Modify Profile > Notifications > Profile, in the section where it says,
“For topics and boards I’ve requested notification on, notify me of: ‘Replies and moderation’ ” – what does moderation in this context mean? Note that the second selection option says: ‘Moderation only if I started the topic.’ So if I were a topic starter, what notifications would I, and would I not, subsequently receive under this particular option?

Cheers - Dave

Hi David,
Moderation is any change to a post, including: edit delete or move. A moderation can only be done by an Moderator, of which there are currently none, or an Administrator, which includes several SWS staff.

So if you select:
"Only replies": You will get notified only when someone posts a reply. Not a moderation.
"Moderation (only if I started the topic)": You will get notified only a moderation on your topic occurs. Not a reply.
"Replies and Moderation": You will get notified when someone posts a reply OR a moderation on your topic occurs. I don't believe it includes moderation on other peoples topics.

I would suggest setting  it at either "Replies and Moderation" or "Moderation".

Regards,
David
