AUDUSD Currency Risk
« on: 10/08/2015, 03:11:05 PM »
Be aware that the timing for hedging AUDUSD currency risk was released today as part of the latest upgrade to Beyond Charts.

Buy and sell signals now appear on the AUDUSD chart and the SPA3ETF Reference Manual has been updated to include some discussion on this topic.

A buy signal is to go long the AUD against the USD and an exit signal is to close a long position in the AUD against the USD.

It is up to each individual investor to decide whether to hedge their USD exposure when the AUD strengthens.

The signals are also displayed for SPA3 NASDAQ users (and SPA3 ASX for that matter).

This morning the AUDUSD Spot price closed above 0.698 but no Buy Signal is displayed. Alerts is showing the AUDUSD as an Open Trade as of this morning. Is there any reason a Buy Signal isn't displayed on Beyond Charts? Thanks

Hi Phil,

This is due to the Beyond Charts version being used is most likely pre January 2019, when we introduced a fix for the number of decimal places the AUD/USD charts were looking at for signals.

From looking at the server download logs for new versions, your account has downloaded the latest upgrades from opening Beyond Charts recently. When you next re-start Beyond Charts will request your permission to apply the upgrade. Say yes to allowing Beyond Charts to make changes to your computer, then you should see the signal once it finishes opening after the upgrade.

Hi Campbell,

You are 100% correct. Im guilty of leaving my computer and beyond charts running 24/7 so hadn't restarted Beyond Charts to apply the new update.

All working now.

Thanks and regards

Phil
