Change in SIROC settings
« on: 06/03/2016, 09:52:56 PM »
Hi Gary, I am almost certain I saw an email come through a month of two ago stating you were changing your portfolio to the SIROC 13:5 setting for the NASDAQ. Could you confirm this and perhaps provide a brief outline why you think this may be of benefit. I have changed my settings to this and was just curious about your thoughts.

Cheers,

Jonathon

Jonathan,

Yes we have. We announced this last week in the email we sent notifying customers that the NASDAQ had signalled a LMR.

The reasons are documented in the SPA3 NASDAQ Trading Plan in the Members Zone.

We also changed to Close Immediately upon a HMR signal.

The main reasons are to do with the SIROC 13 05 performing better over the last two years in the market conditions that have prevailed and the Close Immediately to be less time consuming once a HMR signal has occurred.

Regards
Gary

My goodness gracious me.
New SIROC settings 13:05 have produced 157 entry signals on the end of week scan.
My mind boggles at the overwhelming quantity of choices.
Are other members seeing the same number of entries?

Hi Kelvin,
I just ran my scan and came up with 87 entries for the 11th March.
My default XNAS 13:05 settings for the Nasdaq have a minimum liquidity of 50,000 and maximum of 999,999,999,999 and is set to pick up Nasdaq common shares only.

Tito

Hi All,

Thanks for the confirmation Gary. With regards to the number of hits this week I only got 37 at 13:5.
